In the spirit and resources of the national initiative of generationOn (Points of Lights Institute), we're working on a series for younger kids to encourage and develop an awareness for volunteerism, service and charity. We think it's important to start young - for building character and leadership skills. We'll instill these qualities through kid and family-friendly activities, service projects, entrepreneurship and a "pay it forward" mentality that young kids can understand. Among the goals for this program include:
We can't do it alone and are looking for additional organizational and corporate partners to help us implement our programs. If you would like to help facilitate, have ideas, and/or can donate in-kind products such as non-perishable snack goods and sample & travel size toiletry items like shampoo & toothbrushes, please contact us. Together, we can impact young minds and our communities.
- Kids' lunch series and leadership workshops
- Family-friendly service opportunities (e.g. assembling food packages & toiletry kits)
- Mini grant opportunities that elementary-aged kids may apply for charity projects
